Sugar Ridge Band

Since 1971, Sugar Ridge Bluegrass Band has delighted audiences all over the Midwest.  During that time many

members have been a part of our group and we are glad to have had them join us.

Our Current Band Members are:

Gary Russell - Guitar & Vocals

David Russell - Mandolin & Vocals

Tess Stephens - Fiddler Extraordinaire

Keith Russell - Banjo & Vocals

Gary Russell - Original Member of Sugar Ridge.  Gary, a

retired police officer, has been performing bluegrass and

acoustic music for more than 50 years.  He played for many

years at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Mo.

Keith Russell *- A Member of the early band with

approximately 35 years of performance experience.  Keith is

currently pursuing a Master’s Degree for his ministry. 

Unfortunately his schedule doesn’t always allow him to attend. 

He likes to keep things moving.

David Russell - Began playing the mandolin at the age of 9.  A

US Postal Service worker, David brings approximately 33 years

of stage experience to the band.  He plays a “vigorous” lead

and background.

Tess Stephens -  Award Winning Fiddler.  Tess, our youngest

member, is a student.  This young fiddle prodigy adds the

spark and enthusiasm that only hot fiddle tunes can bring.
